Vladimir Mau attends Supervisory Board meeting of the Leaders of Russia project
On October 8, RANEPA Rector Vladimir Mau took part in the meeting of the Supervisory Board of the Leaders of Russia nationwide project chaired by First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko.
The project is launching its third season in 2019. According to Sergei Kiriyenko, more than 46,000 applications for the third nationwide management competition have been sent in since October 4 when registration opened. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova and Healthcare Minister Veronika Skvortsova.
RANEPA Vice-Rector, Director of RANEPA Graduate School of Public Administration (GSPA), CEO of Russia – Land of Opportunity autonomous non-profit organization, director of the Leaders of Russia competition Alexei Komissarov said the main competition will be complemented by three more industry tracks this year – Healthcare, Science, and Finance and Technology. According to Tatyana Golikova, effective managers are needed in science and healthcare, and it is a good thing that Leaders of Russia will be involved in their preparation.
Vladimir Mau added that even during the meeting, the number of people wishing to participate in the competition has probably reached 50,000, and wished the participants success. The Rector of the Presidential Academy emphasized that it is a great honor for RANEPA to be involved in the project: “I am very pleased that the competition now includes industry tracks. I think it is very important, because a good manager can manage anything of course, but still the right way is to select people from the profession. ”
The Leaders of Russia management competition is the flagship project of the Russia – Land of Opportunity open platform and autonomous non-profit organization and is held in partnership with RANEPA. The winners and finalists of the project are trained at the Academy.
