Vladimir Mau has participated in the international conference in Barnaul
RANEPA rector Vladimir Mau spoke as an expert at the international conference that opened on February 4 in Barnaul. The conference was timed to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the Altai branch of RANEPA. Vladimir Mau visited Barnaul to congratulate his colleagues with a milestone anniversary and to take part in the expert discussion of the most urgent issues of the economy and public management of Russia.
More than 300 Russian and foreign economists and political science specialists took part in the event. When speaking at the opening ceremony of the conference Vladimir Mau dedicated his report to the current economic picture in Russia. He noted that economic development of Russia had been unprecedentedly efficient over the last 10-12 years. The country had become one of the healthiest large economies in the world by the end of the first decade of the 21st century having one of the lowest public debt rates in the world, huge gold and foreign currency reserves and big resilience capacity what allows us to withstand current challenges. According to Vladimir Mau, the main task for Russia today is to launch the mechanism of sustainable growth.
In the concluding part of the conference the three-party Memorandum of understanding between RANEPA and Academy of Management of Mongolia was signed. Igor Panarin, director RANEPA the Altai branch, noted that the institutions intended to implement comprehensive cooperation program: “We plan exchanges of undergraduate students, postgraduate students and graduate students. We intend to hold scientific apprenticeships for them. We will welcome public officers from Mongolia and I believe our colleagues will find the opportunity to pay a return visit”.
