Vladimir Mau on Rossiya 24 TV channel: Project Management is a Way to Achieve Goals
Rector of the Presidential Academy Vladimir Mau has discussed project management in the context of the implementation of national projects in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV channel on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
There is nothing fundamentally new about project management, Vladimir Mau noted, adding that Russia’s development has relied on projects ever since the country pulled out from its transformation crisis – starting with Vladimir Putin’s presidency.
“Project management is a way to achieve goals,” Vladimir Mau said. Given the serious challenges facing the economy and society in Russia, both in terms of economic growth and social development, there are certain goals the country needs to work to achieve – these goals are quite clearly defined in the Presidential Executive Orders, RANEPA Rector explained.
“We must understand that public administration is a complex process. We cannot say that projects matter and processes do not, especially since the President and the Prime Minister meant just that when they spoke about the “regulatory guillotine,” he emphasized.
