Why use the Internet of things in daily life? (VIDEO)
On July 18, co-founder of Beaconit Russia Rezvan Stoyan delivered a lecture on the Internet of Things as part of the International Summer Campus of the Presidential Academy. The speaker got his audience immediately interested in what he was talking about.
The Internet of Things implies an expanded connection of physical devices and everyday objects to the internet, explained Rezvan Stoyan. It involves networks, devices and data. How does this work? The so-called thing contains a sensor or an external sensor attached to it, which is connected to an app that actually does all the work.
Why would we use the Internet of Things in our daily life? The first reason is that people spend a lot of time in the virtual world. Virtual communication channels are more efficient and accessible, which is why people and companies now need to collect loads and loads of information. Time management also has a significant impact in modern life, he said.
We live in the world of digital technology, which is why Rezvan Stoyan’s lecture was very interesting and relevant for all participants of the Summer Campus. The participants are all very versatile people, and asked a lot of competent questions, the speaker noted.
