Election of the Chair of the Community of International Students

Yesterday the election of the Chair of the Community of International Students took place. Currently, the Academy has more than 2,500 international students from 60 countries, and comprehensive work with them is one of the key priorities of the Presidential Academy.

Rector of the Presidential Academy Alexey Komissarov noted:

"One of the most important tasks of youth policy is the adaptation of foreign students to life in Russia, their integration into the general academic space, as well as involvement in educational, scientific and cultural events both at the Academy and beyond. It is equally important to strengthen cooperation and cohesion between foreign and Russian students."

As part of the election campaign, 4 candidates presented their programs and a vision for the further development of the Community:

  • Anna Krasnoshchekov (Republic of Austria)

  • Alexandra Terekhova (Republic of Belarus)

  •  Mohamed Ashraf Essam Eid (Arab Republic of Egypt)

  • Yasmina Makhmadbekova (Republic of Tajikistan)

According to the results of voting, Alexandra Terekhova, IPACS master's student from the Republic of Belarus, was elected Chair of the Community of International Students.

In the 2024/2025 academic year, the Community became a center for the implementation of adaptation and youth projects. International students actively participate in major forums, international events, cultural events of the Academy, as well as in initiatives aimed at developing intercultural dialogue.

The work of the International Student Community is carried out in close cooperation with the Department of International Cooperation and Development of the Presidential Academy.
