At the Ho Chi Minh Political Academy an internship program for 30 representatives of the program «Modern Technologies in Public Administration: International Experience» has been launched. The project is being implemented within the framework of a cooperation agreement signed in May this year by Alexey Komissarov, Rector of the Presidential Academy, and Nguyen Xuan Thang, member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Rector of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics. Among the main areas of cooperation are professional development of Russian and Vietnamese civil servants, academic exchange of students and teachers, joint research, organization of forums and other events.
During the opening ceremony, Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, noted the importance of the event in the context of celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Vietnam. Vyacheslav Kharinov, Russia's Trade Representative in Vietnam, drew the attention of the internship participants to the need to familiarize themselves with Vietnam's strategic planning documents aimed at increasing household incomes and creating conditions for the country's economic growth.
Hoang Phuc Lam, Vice-rector of the Ho Chi Minh Academy, stressed that mutual training of civil servants helps strengthen a trusting dialogue between the countries, and expressed confidence in the success of a similar internship of the delegation of the National Academy of Politics at the Presidential Academy scheduled for October this year.
«The Presidential Academy has strong partnerships with universities and educational organizations in Vietnam. Our students regularly undergo internships in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and this year 10 citizens of this country have enrolled into the Presidential Academy. But this internship is of particular importance, because the promotion of various joint projects depends, among other things, on civil servants of the two countries, on their understanding of development processes and priority areas of bilateral cooperation» said Natalia Shafinskaya, Head of the Presidential Academy's Department of International Cooperation and Development.
«This internship is a significant result after the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Presidential Academy and the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics following the visit of the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Comrade To Lam. We hope that the implementation of joint educational projects to train managerial personnel will contribute to the development of public administration systems in our countries» remarqued Tatiana Lavrova, Deputy Director of the Graduate School of Public Managment at the Presidential Academy.
The internship participants will get acquainted with Vietnam's development strategy until 2045, innovative technologies and social policy, as well as visit the National Exhibition Center, the Ministry of Health and other departments.
The Presidential Academy continues to actively build ties with scientific and educational organizations in Vietnam, serving as a platform for significant political, educational and public events. On a regular basis, students of the Academy undergo internships at Vietnam National University, the Foreign Trade University, and Vietnamese civil servants are trained in the Academy's advanced training programs. In the jubilee year of 2025, the Academy has planned a number of significant events, including professional development programs for 60 Vietnamese civil servants and an on-site internship for Russian civil servants at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
