From strategic planning to artificial intelligence: the Presidential Academy hosted a professional development program titled “Modern Technologies of Public Administration” for representatives of government bodies from African countries. Fifteen civil servants from Equatorial Guinea studied Russian public administration practices. Over the past two months, representatives from three African countries have already completed training at the Academy.
Over the course of a week, the training participants familiarized themselves with Russian experience in digital transformation, a customer‑centric approach, the development of leadership competencies, and international negotiations. Separately, the program participants studied management practices in the Russian capital.
Representatives of the Embassy of Equatorial Guinea and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, ViceRector of the Presidential Academy Alexey Kolesnikov, Director of the Graduate School of Public Administration of the Academy Oleg Kondratenko, Deputy Director Tatyana Lavrova, and Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Development of the Academy Natalya Shafinskaya took part in the solemn opening ceremony of the program.
The training programme was opened by the lectures “The Leader of the 21st Century”, “Methodology of Personal and Professional Diagnostics: Focus on Testing”, “Russia and the Modern World”, and “Fundamentals of a Client‑Centric Approach in Public Administration”. In total, the group attended a series of 11 lectures delivered by leading experts of the Presidential Academy.
Participants from Equatorial Guinea also visited the Analytical Center under the Government of Russia, studied information systems, staff work, and the overall organization of the activities of the Moscow Government’s Situation Center and the National Center “Russia”.
"I am sure that this program will allow us not only to adopt best practices in the field of public administration, but also to get to know the cultural peculiarities and traditions of Russia better. This will be an important step towards expanding and deepening the partnership between our countries," said Alexey Kolesnikov, Vice Rector of the Presidential Academy.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea Luciano Nkogo Ndong Ayekaba thanked the Presidential Academy for organizing the program.: "The program is aimed at strengthening professional competencies and expanding the horizons of our cooperation."
