Mexican Ambassador at the Presidential Academy

Mexican Ambassador at the Presidential Academy

Eduardo Villegas Mejias, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Mexican States, once again visited the Presidential Academy. This time, the Ambassador addressed the Academy's students on the topic "Mexico in the International Arena: Foreign Policy and Diplomacy."

Vice-Rector Andrei Margolin noted that such events help to increase students' interest in international relations. Furthermore, the students were able to improve their language skills, as the lecture was held in Spanish.

The Ambassador spoke about Mexican foreign policy doctrines used in response to the policies of neighboring countries. He emphasized:

"I used to teach philosophy, and returning to the classroom always brings me great joy and is one of my favorite activities."

The Presidential Academy's collaboration with its Mexican partners is steadily growing: 10 Academy students will complete a summer internship at the Mexican Embassy. An agreement to this effect was previously reached during a meeting between Rector Alexey Komissarov and the Ambassador.
