Vice-Rector Artur Azarov held a working meeting with a delegation from the partner university, led by Party Secretary Ge Weihua.
The parties agreed to launch joint research, in particular in line with the SCO "One Belt, One Road" initiative, with the possibility of exchanging master's and doctoral students. Furthermore, the Academy will be able to offer its students passing of IELTS at the Shanghai University. Long-term academic mobility programs lasting more than six months, with reciprocal credit for individual courses, are also of interest.
Cooperation between the Presidential Academy and the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law has been steadily developing since 2018. Joint projects include the annual organization of Summer Language Schools and internships for Academy students, international internships within business education programs, and joint scientific and practical conferences.
Alina Azarova, a second-year student at the Institute of Management, shared her impressions of her two-week internship at the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law:
"Two weeks flew by in the blink of an eye, leaving a slight sense of sadness at parting. This trip was much more than just an internship for me: it was my first time in China and I was able to truly immerse myself in the university's academic and cultural life—from lectures and museums to studying calligraphy and traditions. It was especially valuable that during this time I was able to improve my knowledge of Chinese and English, once again reaffirming that language is the key to understanding people and cultures. I leave with warm memories, gratitude, and a desire to continue learning, believing that this experience has truly changed me."
