How is public administration changing under the influence of digital technologies and artificial intelligence? What tools help make public services more convenient for citizens? And what competencies should a modern manager possess? These topics were studied over the course of a week by 22 civil servants of the Republic of Mozambique as part of the GSPM program at the Presidential Academy.
The participants also visited the Moscow Government’s Situation Center, where they learned about the organization of staff work and digital tools for city management, visited the Center for the Development of Unmanned Technologies, and also saw modern Moscow and its urban infrastructure.
“We are glad that the first experience of interacting with civil servants from the Republic of Mozambique turned out to be so productive and fruitful. I am confident that the knowledge you have gained will become a solid foundation for your further professional development,” Oleg Kondratenko, Director of the Graduate School of Public Management of the Presidential Academy, noted at the closing ceremony.
The Ambassador of the Republic of Mozambique, Mr. José Mateus Muaria Katupha, noted that the long‑standing ties between Russia and Mozambique continue to develop in new areas, including in the training of a new type of managers.
Since June, civil servants from five African countries — the Republic of the Congo, the Republic of Niger, Equatorial Guinea, Madagascar, and the Republic of Mozambique — have completed advanced training programmes at the Presidential Academy.
